I come from a family of storytellers. I've always been captivated by their stories and how they managed to make sense of the world around them, how they overcame difficulties and challenges, and how they always found a way to make space for joy. I believe that we each have a story. In therapy, I want to offer you a space towards writing or rewriting parts of yours. We will walk through these experiences together and remain curious.
My approach to therapy is grounded in the principles of relational-cultural and feminist theories. I will tailor my approach to best fit your wants and needs in the space, by focusing on experiences that have shaped your understanding of you and your world. Our therapeutic relationship is most important to me. I will honor the space that we create and the parts of you that you share with me. I will celebrate you, the identities that you hold and show up as my full self. That includes being the child of French immigrants borned and raised in Atlanta and a lesbian woman.
I am currently a postdoctoral fellow in Midtown Atlanta at Juniper Psychological Services, practicing under the supervision of Erin English, PhD. I received my PhD in Counseling Psychology and Master's of Education from Lehigh University, and my Bachelor's from Emory University. I completed my APA-accredited Doctoral Internship in Health Service Psychology at Georgia State University. I have experience in providing mental health services to children, teens and adults in community mental health and college counseling settings.
In addition to providing therapy, I have co-authored a book on race-centered, trauma-responsive schools (Ounce of Prevention, 2023) and articles on trauma-informed practices in school systems, adverse childhood experiences, violence against women and individuals with marginalized sexual/gender identities, sexual violence and intimate partner violence, cultural reactions to gender-based violence and evaluation of prevention programming for gender-based violence. I am currently an adjunct professor at Lehigh University in Counseling for master's and doctoral students.
